What auditors ask for

The usual list you get asked to pull together.

Audit request
  • Proof the right checks were completed for the role
  • Dates, outcomes, and who reviewed what
  • Evidence that gaps and exceptions were resolved
  • A clear trail of actions, not screenshots

What you hand over

Export one file with everything tied back to a person.

guardgate export
  • Single evidence record per candidate
  • Time-stamped actions and recorded sign-off
  • Gaps and exceptions resolved with outcomes attached
  • Exportable evidence pack when you need it

Common audit failures we help prevent

Missing documentation

Requirements get tracked and chased until completed - not forgotten in someone's inbox.

Expired licences

Expiry dates are tracked so issues show up early, not after a client or regulator asks.

Unresolved employment gaps

Gaps become a visible workflow step with a recorded resolution - not a hidden risk.

Inconsistent checks across sites

Templates and structured requirements standardise what 'done' looks like across every contract.

What is BS7858?

BS7858 is the British Standard for the security screening of individuals employed in an environment where security and safety are important. If you employ security guards in the UK, this is the standard you need to meet.

Failure to meet BS7858 requirements can result in lost contracts, failed audits, SIA sanctions, and reputational damage. GuardGate builds BS7858 compliance into the onboarding workflow so it happens by default, not by luck.
